Suzanne Weaver has spent nearly forty years in museum and nonprofit arts leadership, holding curatorial and programming roles at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Speed Art Museum in Louisville, and the San Antonio Museum of Art. As chief curator, curator of modern and contemporary art, and director of adult programming, she has focused on public engagement, institutional partnerships, and community-centered education. Her experience also encompasses strategic planning, capital campaigns, and major gift fundraising. She has served on the San Antonio Public Art Commission, Louisville’s Mayor’s Commission for Public Art, and the board of the Louisville Film Society. Beyond her institutional responsibilities, Suzanne has cultivated a parallel career as a writer and independent curator, a pursuit she continues to pursue. She resides in Camden with her husband, Stephen James.
