Mary Jo Bateman has served as Camden Conference Hospitality Chair since 2023. Before retiring to Maine, Mary Jo and her husband lived in Chicago, Charlottesville, Chapel Hill, Lausanne, Switzerland, College Station, and New Orleans. Mary Jo also was a study abroad student for a year in 1975/6. Here, she is active with several Midcoast nonprofits, including United Midcoast Charities and The Landing Place. Mary Jo lives in Rockport with her husband Tom, and enjoys time with her three adult children, their spouses and her grandchild.
