John Reed spent thirty-five years at Citibank/Citicorp/Citigroup, the last sixteen years as Chair. He retired in 2000. He then headed the New York Stock Exchange from 2003-5 and Chaired the MIT corporation from 2010-14. Mr. Reed is a trustee of the Boston Athenaeum, as well as a Member of the American Philosophical Association and The American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He joined the Board of the Camden Conference in 2023.
