The 22nd Annual Camden Conference, Global Leadership and the U.S. Role in World Affairs, focused on the myriad of issues facing the new president at the time, Barack Obama. Numerous pundits were saying that Obama had the fullest in-box of any president in recent history.
The United States had been the world’s only super power since 1990 and arguably since the end of World War II. The U.S. was operating from a position of dominance, often adversely affecting its relations with countries and peoples. Just one month after Obama took office, world-class foreign policy experts assembled to help us understand the challenges facing the United States and the new administration.
