World Affairs Council of Maine event: Women’s Roles in Peace + Security: Lunch with Ambassador Swanee Hunt

Ambassador Hunt, who served as US Ambassador to Austria during the Bosnian War, is the founder of Women Waging Peace, a global network of women seeking to transform and resolve conflict across the world. She is also the Founding Director of the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard’s Kennedy School. Her most recent book, Rwandan Woman Rising, outlines the incredible role that Rwandan women played in working towards a lasting peace for their nation. Now female representation in the Rwandan Parliament is unrivaled in the world at 64%.

Please join the World Affairs Council of Maine in celebrating International Women’s Day (March 8th) and the women waging peace in Rwanda and around the world.
