New Speaker – A Brief History of Broadcasting in America – OLLI at USM

The Camden Conference and OLLI at USM are partnering to present two talks in advance of the 33rd Annual Camden Conference, “The Media Revolution: Changing the World.”
For the second in the series, award-winning journalist and Nick Mills will speak on “A Brief History of Broadcasting in America.” This event will take place Monday, January 27, 11 AM, in USM’s Wishcamper Center, Room 102. His talk is free and open to all.
Nick B. Mills taught journalism at Boston University for 26 years. In the 1980s he trained dozens of Afghan journalists in Peshawar, Pakistan and founded the Afghan Media Resource Center, a full-service news agency. In 2004 and 2005 he worked in Kabul with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and collaborated with Karzai on a book, “KARZAI – The Failing American Intervention and the Struggle for Afghanistan.”
