The Role of Nonprofit Journalism in the Evolving Media Environment – OLLI at USM

The Camden Conference and OLLI at USM are partnering to present two talks in advance of the 33rd Annual Camden Conference, “The Media Revolution: Changing the World.”
For the second in the series, award-winning journalist and executive director of the Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, Dan Dinsmore will speak on “The Role of Nonprofit Journalism in the Evolving Media Environment.” This event will take place Monday, January 27, 11 AM, in USM’s Wishcamper Center, Room 102. His talk is free and open to all.
Dinsmore started out in journalism in 1992 and has worked for a number of papers leading up to a stint at the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram, Dinsmore led a redesign of the newspaper in 2005, a complete overhaul of the computing and pagination system in 2007 and ongoing efforts to embrace digital news and social media solutions.
