Pihcintu Multicultural Chorus in Scarborough

December 2, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm EST

Pihcintu Multicultural Chorus

Friday, December 2, 2016 at 7:00 PM

Winslow Homer Center for the Arts

The Scarborough Public Library will celebrate the Camden Conference theme with a moving performance by the Pihcintu Multicultural Chorus at the Winslow Homer Center for the Arts. This youth chorus for girls helps restart young lives. War-torn villages, bloodshed, refugee camps, famine, and political turmoil were devastating realities for many of these singers before being embraced by the warmth, companionship, and harmony that Pihcintu provides. Con Fullam, award-winning producer, musician, and songwriter, combined his passion for music with a deep concern for the effect of world issues on children to create this incredible chorus. Pihcintu has performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, the Portland Symphony Orchestra, and has appeared on the Today Show on NBC. Choral selections will be interspersed with personal stories shared by members of the chorus. This special performance is free to attend and open to the public
