Peter Dugas on International Climate Policy & Trade

February 1 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm EST

The Camden Conference and Scarborough Public Library will host Peter Dugas who will discuss “International Climate Policy & Trade” on February 1 at 6:30 p.m. Please register HERE.

The industrialized west is more motivated than ever to rapidly decarbonize their economies to stabilize the climate and protect their national security. Meanwhile, after years of deference, the US legislature has passed significant climate legislation. Learn how the pending Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanisms from the EU and UK will provide both a carrot and stick to move the US to adopt even stronger climate policies which can harvest latent advantages for US business foreign relations. Learn also how we Mainers live in the most influential state in the most influential country on global climate policy.

Peter Dugas is the Maine State Coordinator for Citizens Climate Lobby, a nonpartisan grassroots organization focused on effective and equitable climate solutions. He serves as the liaison to the office of Senator Angus King (ME-I) and is an EN-ROADS Climate Ambassador. Peter has been an active advocate for robust climate policy since earning a degree in Physics and Engineering from Brown University and lives and works in Portland, Maine.
