National Sword: The Price of Contaminated Recycling-presented by ecomaine at the Freeport Community Library
February 20, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm EST

The Camden Conference announces a talk presented by ecomaine titled “National Sword: The Price of Contaminated Recycling.” This talk will be held at Freeport Community Library on Wednesday, February 20 from 6:30-7:30PM.
In 2017, China enacted its “National Sword” policy, effectively banning the import of recyclable materials from across the globe. Once the world’s leading importer of these materials, China has sent shockwaves through the recycling and waste management industry. Maine’s leading recycler, ecomaine, will present on how we got here, what’s happening now, and the future of waste management, from Augusta to Zhuhai and beyond. This event is free and open to the public.
