“Arctic exploration and American culture”-talk by author Michael Robinson on Zoom via Prince Memorial Library

The Camden Conference and Prince Memorial Library in Cumberland present Michael Robinson on January 28 at 6:30pm on Zoom. He will discuss “Arctic exploration and American culture”. Contact emanning@cumberlandmaine.com to register.

Michael Robinson is a professor of history at Hillyer College, University of Hartford. He is the author of The Coldest Crucible: Arctic Exploration and American Culture, winner of the 2008 Book Award for the History of Science in America and The Lost White Tribe: Explorers, Scientists, and the Theory that Changed a Continent, winner of the History of Science Society’s Davis Prize. He hosts Time To Eat the Dogs, a weekly podcast about science, history, and exploration.
