The Age of Consequences – Film Screening in Yarmouth

January 10, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm EST

Merrill Memorial Library will screen The Age of Consequences on Wednesday, January 10 at 7:00 pm.  The screening will be on the third floor of the Merrill Memorial Library, 215 Main Street, Yarmouth.

The consequences of climate change ripple past environmental concerns through other political, social, and economic issues that we read about every day. The documentary The Age of Consequences explores and visualizes the connections between climate change and resource scarcity, migration, and political instability through the lens of national security. The threats to the peace and safety of the world and our country are exacerbated by a warming planet, and it is dangerous and irresponsible, the film says, to ignore the warning signs that are already there. This is an age of consequences, consequences for allowing what has happened to happen.

This film screening is hosted by the Merrill Memorial Library and offered as one of dozens of free community events in anticipation of the 31st Annual Camden Conference –New World Disorder and America’s Future, February 16-18, 2018.
