With Keynote Speaker, Pierre Claver Mbonimpa, on “Human Rights Violations in Africa”
Immediately preceding our keynote speaker, a panel of immigration experts will address such topics as:
- The Cancellation of DACA protection • ICE raids that are splitting up families • Travel bans • Changes in the characteristics and number of immigrants allowed in the U.S. • The tone of the current administration
Panel includes: Professor Anna Welch Asylum Clinic Director, University of Maine School of Law; Tarlan Ahmadov, State Refugee Coordinator, Office of Maine Refugee Service; PDG Muhamiriza, President of Student Government Association at University of Southern Maine; Greta Lozada, a law student at University of Maine School of Law.
