Other Ways of Giving
The Camden Conference and all of its year-round events are produced by a team of dedicated volunteers. With Conference registrations covering less than half of annual costs, your support is critical to maintaining the high quality of the Camden Conference while keeping registration rates affordable.
The Camden Conference offers a variety of ways for individuals to support our ongoing activities in addition to membership and corporate sponsorship. The Camden Conference is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization as defined by the Internal Revenue Service, which allows you to make charitable gifts to the organization or to make a bequest. You can help assure the continued success of the Camden Conference in years to come with your generous contribution.
Board Directed Fund
To honor more than 30 years of the Camden Conference, the Board of Directors established the Camden Conference Board Directed Fund. This serves as a “rainy day” fund to ensure the sustainability of the organization and may be used for program production costs, community outreach, and other future expenses. If you would like to contribute to this fund, please contact the office for further information. All inquiries remain confidential.
Planned Gifts
With a Planned Gift, you can help assure the funds to produce the Camden Conference, including the travel costs of speakers, the promotion of community events, or helping to grow our educational outreach, by making a general gift or bequest. If you would like to speak with someone about a Planned Gift, please contact the office for further information. All inquiries remain confidential.
Gifts in Honor of an Individual
You can honor your involvement with the Camden Conference or that of a friend, or make a gift to the Camden Conference “In Honor of” or “In Memory of” an individual. If you would like to make a gift in honor of an individual, please contact the office for further information. All inquiries remain confidential.
IRA Rollovers
The IRA Charitable Rollover can provide you with an excellent opportunity to make a gift during your lifetime from an asset that would be subject to several levels of taxation if it remained in your taxable estate. Under The Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act of 2015 – now with no expiration date – donors over the age of 70½ can distribute up to $100,000 in a calendar year from an IRA to the Camden Conference or other charities, tax-free. This distribution to charity can be a significant benefit for IRA owners who are required each year to take minimum required distributions, which are included in their gross income for income tax purposes. This is a tax smart way to help support the Conference!
Gift of Securities
There are distinct income tax advantages of giving securities over cash, and the benefits are twofold: you will receive a deduction for the fair market value of the stock (up to 30% of your adjusted gross income), and capital gains taxes do not apply. Charitable gifts of appreciated securities make sense now more than ever. Please consult your tax professional for further details.
The Camden Conference is registered by the IRS as a 501(3)(c) organization. Memberships are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
