College & University Students Awards
The Camden Conference is pleased to announce the winners of its college and university student essay contest which focused on the 2016 Conference theme: The New Africa. First prize (tie) went to Jesse McCormick from the University of Maine at Orono entitled American Hippos: The United States Military Establishment in Africa, and Danny Chambers from the University of Maine at Rockland, entitled Liberia: Governance and its Socioeconomic Impact. Because of the First place tie, there was no Second prize awarded. Third prize was awarded to Mary Negri from Unity College for her essay entitled How the Development of Social Media and Technology Aids Sub-Saharan Africa in Globalization and the Fight for Human Rights. The Conference congratulates our winners.
