Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture
The Leopold Center is a research and education center on the campus of Iowa State University created to identify and reduce negative environmental and social impacts of farming and develop new ways to farm profitably while conserving natural resources. The Center’s work is focused in these initiatives – ecological systems research, marketing and food systems research, policy research and cross-cutting research that bridges all areas (water, energy, soil and alternative farming systems).
Maine Farmland Trust
Maine Farmland Trust is an award-winning statewide non-profit organization that has helped over 125 Maine farms remain viable and helped protect over 25,000 acres of Maine’s best farmland.
Mid-Coast Forum on Foreign Relations
The Mid-Coast Forum on Foreign Relations was organized in 1983 by a small group of area residents with a special interest in the United States role in international affairs. The Forum meets on the second Monday of each month throughout the year and the format includes a brief social period, speaker’s presentation, question period and luncheon. Forum speakers have included U.S. and foreign government officials, diplomats, representatives of international organizations, academicians, working journalists, exchange students, international businesspeople, and other foreign policy specialists.

Informed by science, our work guides policy and engages people in protecting the ocean and its wildlife for future generations.

Wholesome Wave programs improve the accessibility and affordability of healthy, locally grown fruits and vegetables. We reach over 28 states, working with more than 60 community-based organizations who manage nearly 400 farm-to-retail venues, and impact more than 3,200 farmers.
