The Camden Opera House

The Camden Opera House, primary venue for the Camden Conference, is located at 29 Elm Street (Route 1) in downtown Camden, Maine. It is across the street from the town park and in the same building as the town offices. The building is a three-story historic brick structure and "Camden Opera House" appears above the arched doorway in gilded golden letters.

From the south

Take I-95 North to exit 22 to the Brunswick/Bath/Coastal Route 1 exit (Exit 22). Stay on Route 1 all the way into Camden.

From the north

Take Route 1 South from Belfast past the library into downtown Camden. The Opera House will be on the second block on your right after you bear right at the main intersection in downtown.

Parking

On-street parking is available on Elm St. (Route 1), Chestnut St., Washington St. and behind the Opera House after normal working hours. Free all-day parking is available at the public parking lot on Washington Street, next to the fire station, approximately 4-5 blocks from the venue. Your attendee packet will include a map showing locations of all-day parking during Conference weekend.

The Strand Theatre

The Strand Theatre, satellite venue for the Camden Conference, is located at the south end of Main Street in Rockland, Maine. It is a red Art-Deco style brick structure with a large marquee reading "Strand Theatre." It is across the street from Second Read Books & Coffee and near the renowned Farnsworth Museum.

From the south

Take I-95 North to exit 22 to the Brunswick/Bath/Coastal Route 1 exit (Exit 22). Stay on Route 1 all the way into Rockland. At the intersection of Park and Main Streets, turn left onto Main Street. The Strand Theatre is on the right, approximately one block up.

From the north

Take Route 1 South from Belfast, through Camden and Rockport. As you enter downtown Rockland, turn right onto Union Street. This is a two-lane, one-way street. Continue down Union Street until you reach Park Street. Turn left onto Park Street. At the intersection of Park and Main Streets, turn left onto Main Street. The Strand Theatre is on the right, approximately one block up.

Parking

2-hour parking is available on Main Street (Route 1). 2-hour parking lots are also available between School Street and Limerock Street (just off Main Street) Free all-day public parking is located on Tillson Avenue, approximately two blocks' easy walk from the Strand, and on Limerock Street, approximately 4-5 blocks away from the venue. Your attendee packet will include a map showing locations of all-day parking during Conference weekend.
